  • The route covers much of Bethnal Green, an area in the East End of London that suffered from extensive bomb damage and slum housing. The post-war drive for urban renewal saw its council commission the most avant-garde architects to solve the housing problem, including Denys Lasdun and Berthold Lubetkin. They produced some of the best examples of Modernist housing.

The folded guide comprises a map on one side with a detailed walking route on the reverse.
